We arrived at the southeastern bay of Filicudi Island, where there are 15 mooring buoys available. Anchoring here can be problematic due to a rocky bottom, much of which is covered with grass, especially close to the coastline.
Mooring Information
Price per night: €40
Dinghy service: Available to the beach.

Southern Bay
The southern bay also features a small attachment platform, allowing for anchorage or mooring for some vessels. Nearby, there are two modest cafes/restaurants frequented by locals. The simplicity of the area is charming; when we ordered a cappuccino, the owner even went to the grocery store to buy milk.
Island Tour
For an hour-and-a-half tour of the island, you can take a minibus with Davide, who can be contacted at +39 340-7742988. The island’s roads offer a comprehensive view of life on Filicudi, home to about 300 residents. We were impressed by the well-maintained and clean inhabited areas. Davide, our driver-guide, allowed us to wander through the beautiful alleys and admire the spectacular vistas, agricultural terraces, and views of the surrounding islands and even Sicily in the background.
Island Center
The island’s “center” is located up the mountain and features a discotheque and three restaurants, though they were closed in October during our visit.
Cruising Around the Island
A cruise around Filicudi Island is an unforgettable experience. On the tallest part of the island (80 meters), a statue of the Madonna stands on the northwestern part. Diving enthusiasts will find amazing sites for diving in clear waters and in caves, where the cliff walls resemble the crystallization of volcanic melts into hexagonal columns.
Note: It is essential to pay attention to rocks and obstacles near the coastline, especially in the southern part of the island.
