Isola Rossa

Isola Rossa 41°00’42.7″N 8°52’17.9″E

Named after the 400-meter-long granite rock that sits next to Costa Rossa, Isola Rossa is also known as Red Island, although this is not an island.

The Marina Isola Rossa is made up of 2 piers, above and below the waterline, with 5 fixed piers inside, with a wooden deck, and a south-eastern entrance facing the wonderful Longa Beach.

Isola Rossa was once an ancient fishing village; it has become one of Sardinia’s most popular tourist villages.

Approach:

NE of Castelsardo lies Isola Rossa

The marina lies on the SW of Isola Rossa- the Anchorage 

The Passage between the island and the mainland is wide and safe.

From the N the tower will be seen.

From the S- The breakwaters of the marina will be seen

Be aware that the entrance can be shallower than chartered due to silting, but it is regularly dredged.

Care is needed some fisherman on the pier

In calm weather you can anchor E of the marina entrance
