Paroikia Marina: A Prime Spot on the East Side of Paros Island

Paroikia marina lies on the east side of Paros island, surrounded by several islands and reefs. The white houses are easily seen once in the bay, providing a picturesque approach.

Navigation and Approach

The harbour of Paroikia is on the south side of the bay. By night, use the light on Portes and on At Fokas for guidance.

Mooring Details

Space in the inner harbour is limited. In calm weather, you can anchor outside the mole. The bottom is mud, sand, and algae, offering good holding. Shelter inside the harbour is excellent. If there is no space, you can anchor in one of the bays to the north of the harbour. Be aware that ferries in the bay create significant surges, making it pretty choppy.

Facilities at Paroikia Marina

  • Water and electricity are available on the quay.
  • Fuel can be delivered by mini-tanker to the harbour.

Around the Harbour

  • Supermarket nearby.
  • Excellent local taverns.
  • Beautiful old town to explore.
  • Port authority for assistance.

Paroikia Marina provides excellent shelter and essential facilities, making it a convenient and attractive stop for sailors exploring Paros island.
