Best Anchorages Around Nidri

Nidri

Coordinates: 38° 42′ 11″ N, 20° 42′ 35″ E

Approach from the north: The town is hidden; closer to the islands Cheloni, Sparti, and Madouri, Nidri will be seen.

Approach from the south: Around the headland opposite Madouri, you’ll see the town.

Note: Not recommended to approach at night for the first time.

Mooring

The bottom is mud and weed. Very crowded during the season. There are several pontoons.

Tranquil Bay

Coordinates: 38° 42′ 8″ N, 20° 42′ 47″ E

Opposite Nidri town. Anchor in 8-12m on mud and weed. You can take a long line ashore to the north side of the bay.

Vlicho

Coordinates: 38° 41′ 11″ N, 20° 42′ 15″ E

• On the NE side of the bay: Anchor in 5-7m
• On the NW side off the boatyard: Anchor in 5-6m
• Off Vlicho village: Anchor in 5-6m

Yachts can go stern alongside on the outside of the mole in 2.5-3m.
