My mini crossing from Sao Miguel, the Azores, to Portimao, Portugal, was amazing. Setting sail from Ponta Delgada Marina on the 13th of October, we encountered 35-knot winds and covered 800 nautical miles over six days. The experience was filled with stunning sunrises and sunsets and the vibrant energy of a beautiful crew.

Sailing at night is a must! If only I could capture the spectacular images engraved in my mind: falling stars, the boat’s bow illuminated by the moon’s trail, a sky filled with a vast carpet of stars, and the iconic Big Dipper.
