7-Day Cruise Itinerary in the Cyclades Islands, Greece

Welcome to your 7-day sailing adventure in the stunning Cyclades Islands, starting and ending at Paroikia Marina on Paros Island. Let’s set sail (or engine) and explore the beauty and charm of these incredible islands.

Day 1: Paros to Sifnos (27 nautical miles southwest)

Depart from Paroikia Marina and head to Sifnos, about 27 nautical miles southwest. Anchor at Vathi Bay for a delightful lunch spot surrounded by tranquil waters. Continue to Kamares for the night, where you can enjoy the vibrant local scene and delicious Greek cuisine.

Day 2: Sifnos to Milos (20 nautical miles southwest)

Sail to Milos, about 20 nautical miles southwest, famous for its dramatic landscapes and crystal-clear waters. Stop at Sarakiniko Beach for a midday swim. Anchor for the night in the charming port of Adamas, known for its picturesque setting and lively atmosphere.

Day 3: Milos to Ios (47 nautical miles east)

This is a long daysail (that’s how we like it). Head to the port of Ios, where you can explore the lively town, enjoy the nightlife, and dine in local tavernas. We recommend chilling for a day here, renting a car, and exploring this magnificent island.
Another choice if you don’t have the wind or the engine is to sail to Folegandros about 30 nautical miles East and anchor in Agkali Bay on sand, good shelter from the Meltemi.

Day 4: Ios to Santorini (20 nautical miles southeast)

Sail to the iconic island of Santorini. Anchor at Amoudi Bay below Oia for lunch with breathtaking views. Grab a buoy for the night at Captain John; water taxis will take you to Thira, an excellent opportunity to explore the stunning caldera views and enjoy a sunset dinner there.

Day 5: Santorini to Koufonisia (33 nautical miles north)

Head to the small paradise of Koufonisia, about 33 nautical miles north. Moor at the main harbor of Koufonisia and experience the island’s laid-back charm and delightful seafood. Don’t miss visiting Pori Beach for a serene lunch stop and swimming in the turquoise waters.

Day 6: Koufonisia to Schoinousa and Irakleia (9.5 nautical miles southwest)

Sail to Schoinousa for a midday stop. Anchor at Tsigouri Beach for a swim and lunch in this peaceful bay. Continue to Irakleia for the night. Moor in the small port of Agios Georgios, where you can enjoy a quiet evening under the stars.

Day 7: Irakleia to Paros

Begin your journey back to Paros. Stop at Livadi Bay for a final swim and breakfast. Return to Paroikia Marina, about 30 nautical miles west, concluding your unforgettable sailing adventure in the Cyclades.

Conclusion

The Cyclades Islands offer unparalleled adventure, beauty, and relaxation. From the volcanic wonders of Santorini to the serene beaches of Koufonisia, each island presents its unique charm. Happy sailing, and we hope you enjoy every moment of this incredible journey!
