Schinoussa lies south of Naxos, within the area of the small islands group.

Harbour and Mooring Details

• Mersini (36° 52′ 19″ N, 25° 30′ 36″ E) – The harbour/pier at Mersini provides good shelter. There are bays on the southern side of the island that are good in north winds. Yachts can go stern to the quay, but the space at the pier is limited. You can anchor in the bay in 5-8m. The bottom is sand, rock, and algae, but not everywhere offers good holding. There is good shelter from the Meltemi. Several tavernas are available on shore.

Anchorages SE of Mersini

• Tsigouri Beach (36° 51′ 53″ N, 25° 30′ 59″ E) – A nice sheltered bay. Care is needed due to the islet on the right side.
• Livadi Beach (36° 51′ 39″ N, 25° 31′ 22″ E) – A peaceful place with a sandy bottom that offers good holding.
