Bonifacio: Sailing, Marina Guide, and Top Anchorages
Bonifacio is a town on the southern tip of the French island of Corsica. It is known for its lively marina and medieval cliff-top fort.
It lies about 9 miles from Santa Teresa di Gallura in Sardinia. You can also take a ferry.
We entered on our yacht, Rachel. The berth is crowded and narrow, so the bow thruster will be handy. The helpful marina staff guided us to the dock.
You can climb up ancient steps carved into the cliff face, preferably with walking shoes. The ascent is also possible by train for 5 euros. There are also hiking trails out to the lighthouse and breathtaking views.
Bonifacio offers many restaurants and bars, making it very hectic during the season.
