Arriving in Fethiye and Checking In
We arrived in Fethiye and checked in at SunSail for our rental boat. This was our first time renting a catamaran, which was a different adventure. After shopping for provisions, we set sail towards Boynuz Bükü, the first stop on our journey.
Exploring Boynuz Bükü
Boynuz Bükü is a beautiful bay with a small quay and mooring lines. If you dock here, you are customary to dine at the local restaurant. However, be prepared for mosquitoes and bees, as they can be abundant in this area.
Next Stop: Tomb Bay
The next day, we sailed to Tomb Bay, a site famous for its stone-hewn tombs scattered among the cliffs. It’s highly recommended to take a hike to explore the ancient graves and enjoy the stunning views from above. Of course, you can always take a refreshing swim in the bay.
Sailing to Wall Bay
Wall Bay is known for its long, V-shaped piers, where you can dock long-side from both sides. Pay close attention to the depth while docking. From here, you can take a hike to the nearby Ruin Bay, which is about an hour’s walk away.
Discovering Yassica Adalari
Yassica Adalari is another highlight of our sailing route. The island features a sandy tongue and a salt lake at its northern end, making it a pleasant stop for a swim. When the wind picked up, we opened the sails and set course for Gemiler Adasi.
