Ciutadella Is a charming famous harbour town that lies on the W side of the Minorca Island
This former capital attracts sailors with the mix of lovely beaches and peaceful anchorages (of cours in calm weather)
Approach
Lighthous- Far de Punta Nati on the NW side of the Island.
Lighthous- Far d’Artrutx on the S side of the Island.
Care is needed: Ferries using their dock to the south of the harbour crossing the harbour entrance in both directions
Lighthouse on Punta Sa Farola on the N side of the narrow entrance.

Anchorage
S of the Harbour entrance
Cala Des Degollador 39°59’38.0″N 3°49’39.9″E
anchorage close to the port.
In calm weather- You can anchor in 5-7m on sand.
The bottom is sand with some rocks
This anchorage can be choppy because the ferries dock close to it..
Care is needed:
In strong winds or swell this anchorage is poorly protected.
Entering the cove with the dinghy is strictly prohibited.

The wide plaza in front of the old town is a few minutes walk.
Numerous shops and restaurants around the harbour.
