Sailing Area: Cala Fornells

Cala Fornells 40°2.489’N  4°7.672’E
Fornells is a large bay with extended buoy fields on the north coast of Minorca; an excellent shelterer during the mistral.
When you get closer, you notice figures carved in the rocks; I allowed my imagination to run wild…
Care is needed; there are underwater rocks.
Many mooring buoys are on the western side of the bay & south of the harbour—book in advance.
Yachts can anchor anywhere, except in the core zone weed fields must be avoided.
We anchored outside the buoy fields in 7m; The water was very cloudy.
Tied up the dinghy to Club Nàutic dock and had a great dinner nearby.
Many restaurants in town
You can walk along the shore and pass the restored sites.
All facilities can be found in town.
