Sailing Area: Cala d’Algaiarens

Cala d’Algaiarens is one of the most beautiful anchorages in Menorca Island.

It lies on the northeast of the island; It’s vast, Popular but never overcrowded & well protected but open to NW & N winds.

A rock in the middle of the bay forms two fine sandy beaches bordering the turquoise waters of the anchorage are worthy of the most beautiful pictures. From there, you can walk along the coastal path to Cala Fontanelles and Cala d’Escala, enjoying an exceptional landscape view.

Approach

Cala d’Algaiarens 40°02’55.9″N 3°55’15.3″E

If approaching from the N, keep well off Punta Rotja, which has foul ground extending up to 200m.

A rocky reef lies close to Playa de Grande Algyerens(the larger beach).

There are many magical secluded calas

You can anchor over sand in 4-10m
