Vernazza lies at the mouth of a steep-sided valley. One side of the harbour is a cliff, and on the other side are the pastel houses.

This is a small harbour, a pictorial place with nice restaurants, great for lunch, especially in calm weather.

- Embark on a long sail to Ios, 47 nautical miles east, or opt for Folegandros, 30 nautical miles east, if conditions are challenging.
- Enjoy Ios’s vibrant nightlife or relax in Agkali Bay on Folegandros.

- Return to Paros, 30 nautical miles west, stopping at Livadi Bay for a final swim and breakfast.
