Navigation and Entry

Important Considerations

  • Local Craft: Be cautious of local craft on the moorings behind the mole.
  • Swimmers: Watch out for swimmers in the bay.

Moorings and Docking

  • Depths: 1.5-9 meters
  • Maximum LOA: 25 meters
  • Docking: Go stern on the pontoon if available. If not, pick up a fore & aft mooring.
  • Water Taxi: A water taxi is available to bring you ashore.

Seasonal Crowding

The harbour is very crowded in the summer.

Bottom Conditions

  • Bottom Type: Mud – good holding.
  • Shelter: Good.
  • Exposure: Open to NW winds. Strong winds from SW cause a surge.

Facilities

  • Water and Fuel: Available on the quay.
  • Restaurants: Nice restaurants nearby.
