Greek land includes 6,000 islands scattered in the Aegean & Ionian Seas, but only 227 islands are inhabited.

Weather patterns in:
From June to the end of September, the average wind is from the NW to WNW. Generally, it arrives around noon and dies at sunset.
In July and August, a wind known as the Maestro may blow from N-NW with more strength than average NW wind. After October until April/May winds can be from N or S.
The wind is W & SW and sometimes last longer into the evening than in the northern Ionian.
The gulf of Patras & the gulf of Corinth
The prevailing winds in the summer are from the W.
The wind may also blow from the NE at Corinth
The Saronic & Eastern Pelopónnisos
The average summer wind changes radically depending on where you are in this area.
The wind is generally from the S if the Meltemi does not blow. it’s not as regular here as in the Cyclades or the Dodecanese.
